Was this merely a day in the sun for Team CSC, just as Friday was Discovery's day to shine with Yaroslav Popovych's stage victory?
And what of the gap -- and I don't mean the city that serves as the Tour's gateway to the Alps? Why did Team Phonak give Oscar Pereiro (Caisse d'Epargne) nearly a half-hour in time and the yellow jersey? Our Boy Lance has employed similar tactics in the past, but will Floyd Landis, who looked SO good in yellow, be similarly served?
So many questions, increasingly few stages for answers. Maybe Granny knows, 'cuz I sure don't. I guess that's why we watch. And for the castles.
