On Tap...

Housekeeping!
My apologies to all who check in to find out what's On Tap...for this weekend. I am without a computer at the moment and stopped into a local internet cafe [thank goodness that I was wrong in thinking that these types of places would never make it] to write this abbreviated post.

Hopefully, I'll be up and running again and get you a schedule for Saturday and Sunday.

Summer is waning and fall approaches, stores are even beginning to stock winter clothing, so GET OUT AND RIDE WHILE YOU CAN!

Thanks for the comment [and the links] Geoffrey. And yes, you are correct in that saying that you can ride all year round if properly attired and equipped. I guess my statement was more to get folks to just make it out and ride while the weather is still beautiful and while there are still road races or crits in which to participate.

For the most part, roadies [in the northern climes] are a fickle bunch with many turning to the rollers or trainer in the winter rather than venturing out to risk life and limb to some drivers who have issues maintaining their space even when conditions are spot on. In any event, it wasn't to suggest that there isn't any fun to be had on the bike once the weather turns colder. As we've all seen, the discipline of cyclocross has just gone through the roof in recent years.

So on that note, here are some races in select geographical locations.

Great stuff Geoff. Icebiking looks pretty hard core for us NE types.

Jill's blog is a great read.
