For whatever reason, the identity of the "as of yet unnamed former Paris - Roubaix winner," who recently signed with Slipstream/Chipotle has been kept a secret. At least until now.

As if a contestant on To Tell The Truth, the big Swede, Magnus Backstedt (currently Liquigas) has finally decided to step forward from among the current former Roubaix winners and comfirm.

"I feel that it is time for a new start and I am extremely attracted by the program and values of Team Slipstream/Chipotle... as soon as I spoke with him [Vaughters] regarding the possibility of me joining the team, I knew it was the right decision."

The 2004 Roubaix winner and former teammate of Jonathan Vaughters on Credit Agricole, will join Julian Dean, Christian Vande Velde, David Zabriskie, and David Millar on Slipstream for the 2008 season.
